Maths Faculty
The overarching aim of the Maths faculty is to develop an appreciation of the importance, beauty and power of mathematics, and a sense of enjoyment and curiosity about the subject. Students are encouraged to think about multiple solutions and explanations to problems, to communicate their ideas as efficiently and clearly as possible and to justify and prove their results.
Our aim is to make sure our students are confident, analytical and problem-solving thinkers, question the world around them and unravel assumptions to arrive at their own logical conclusions, have the appreciation of mathematics through questioning and curiosity and develop the confidence and ability to apply mathematics to everyday situations.
