Careers Education

A comprehensive careers education programme for all year groups is available at Yardleys. This includes self-development, career exploration and career management, and an opportunity to explore further and higher education including alternative pathways such as apprenticeships and T-Levels.
Careers education should not just be seen as learning about jobs, but also learning about work ethics, equipping students with skills (both hard and soft) required for the work place and giving them the transition skills that will enable them to successfully progress into further and higher education, and make educational, training and occupational decisions that will enable them to successfully manage their careers.
The school is supported by our Careers Education Adviser who is available to provide advice and guidance at careers interviews. You can arrange a Careers Interview by initially contacting Ms Price. Your careers interview is a confidential, impartial discussion with a qualified Careers Coordinator. Don’t worry if you have no definite plans. We are here to encourage and support you while you are making decisions about your future. Depending on your needs, it may be helpful to have several discussions, so don’t think of your careers interview as a 'one-off’ event.’

All access requests are at the Head teacher’s discretion and will be based around:
