Wednesday Enrichment
The enrichment programme centres around our vision that all students at Yardleys School should be given the opportunity to develop and create positive experiences in a broad range of activities outside the traditional classroom/ academic settings, regardless of ability or background.
The enrichment curriculum provided here at Yardleys intends to generate well rounded individuals with hobbies and interests that bring enjoyment and fulfilment to their lives both during their time at school and in the future. The skills and abilities developed throughout enrichment are an essential part of our school’s ethos to educate the whole child and help to build the students’ understanding and interpretation of the Yardleys School values.
Our enrichment curriculum runs on a Wednesday afternoon and is provided by our very talented staff to allow students to participate in activities from the following four categories:
Students are given the opportunity to select from a wide range of enrichment activities and complete five activities throughout the academic year, one from each category. A small sample of the activities can be seen below.
